Thank you for attending the 2023 Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony!
In just over six years, The Chuck Noll Foundation has invested $2.6 million in early stage research, allowing the most innovative minds in the Pittsburgh research community and beyond, to investigate basic and clinical science to better understand the impact of sports on players’ brains. All in the name of Coach Chuck Noll, whose unprecedented commitment to player safety and wellbeing led to the development of the ImPACT test and protocols still in effect across sports of all kinds today.
Our researchers, like Dr. Pulkit Grover of Carnegie Mellon University, have gone on to use data from our investment to receive $16 million in additional research dollars. This video was filmed back in May, 2023. It’s incredible to see the progress that has been made from our seed investment grant to now.
But there is still too much we don’t know.
The Chuck Noll Foundation for Brain Injury Research, along with our National Science Advisory Committee, is eager to keep investing, keep learning, and keep driving brain injury research forward.
Today through “Giving Tuesday” we will be holding an online auction to benefit the Chuck Noll Foundation.
